MMM Real-Time Forecasts

Overview

The MMM Real-Time Forecasts project produces experimental forecasts with the Model for Prediction Across Scales-Atmosphere (MPAS-A) , using a globally uniform-resolution mesh with 3.75-km cell spacing to highlight the value of global convection-permitting modeling — with a focus on capturing tropical cyclones across the globe (Atlantic and eastern Pacific hurricanes as well as western Pacific typhoons). Forecasts are run seasonally; browse the archived seasons below.
